RETN expands its DWDM network in Russia with multi-terabit routes

RETN keeps on expanding its DWDM network. We launched a new high-speed route connecting Nizhniy Novgorod, Cheboksary and Kazan, stretching over 550 km in Russia. The maximum capacity of the new link reaches 8Tbps, and we have already transported first 100G of traffic using the new capacity.

This project is the next wave of the RETN network upgrade to adopt to new traffic flows and address increasing connectivity requirements of telco and enterprise customers. As in many cases previously we deployed Infinera multi-terabit platform to deliver high data transmission capacity services to our customers and ensure scalability and reliability of the network.
